A HOMELESS man who found love while searching for a winter coat has tied the knot with his partner in an idyllic beach ceremony in Cyprus.
Frank Boorer, 45, was searching for a warm winter coat at Street Store in
Manchester's Northern Quarter last year when he clapped eyes on June Radford.
June was volunteering for Coffee4Craig, which organised the country’s first ‘boutique’ for homeless people.
Smitten Frank couldn’t forget her and a few weeks later, at a street kitchen run by the charity, he plucked up the courage to speak to her.
Five weeks later he proposed to June and the pair have now married, having had a small ceremony in Limassol, Cyprus with family and friends as witnesses.

Frank told the Manchester Evening News: “It was perfect. The ceremony was at a hotel right next to the beach. Staff and other guests applauded as we appeared for the ceremony on a raised platform on the beach.
“The temperature was about 80 degrees and there was a sea breeze. I have been staggered by how many people viewed our story... It was wonderful.

“I am so glad I went looking for that new coat and trainers.”
Frank found himself homeless after his first marriage broke up. At first he spent time in a night shelter in Salford, before moving in to a hostel.

But Coffee4Craig helped Frank with a deposit for a house in Manchester and he has now found work as an electrical engineer.
June’s eldest son, Nick, gave the blushing bride away and her youngest, Connor, acted as Frank’s best man – while her daughter, Donna, was a witness.
