CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich is far away from his struggling Premier League side’s troubles as he enjoys a jaunt on his £1.5 billion super yacht in the Caribbean.
The vessel, named The Eclipse, is an astounding 557 feet high, 536ft long and 72.2ft wide, making it the second largest yacht in the world.
On board, the lavish yacht boasts two swimming pools, two helicopter pads, a disco, about 30 cabins, a small submarined and a missile defence system.
The billionaire is with his family on the posh island of St Barts where he owns a £49 million mansion.
The Oligarch was snapped browsing shops on the island with his son Aaron, 6, near to where his The Eclipse was moored.
Aaron is the eldest of two children he shares with his wife, Dasha Zhukova, along with 2-year-old daughter Leah Lou.
Mr Abramovich is planning a swanky New Year’s Eve party at his home with guests including Princess Beatrice expected to attend.
The 49-year-old will no doubt be glad to get away for a while following the turmoil his club is facing hovering dangerous close to the relegation zone at 15th in the Premier League.
Chelsea are facing the biggest challenge since he took ownership of the side following the sacking manager Jose Mourinho and the on-going controversy surrounding club doctor Eva Carniero.
