One serving officer who saw the passionate fling told the Manchester Evening News: “There is a balcony by the side of the bar, with an all-glass window looking on to it. It was about 11pm-ish.
“Two officers at the bar were all over each other. Then they went outside onto the balcony. While they were having sex, a member of the bar staff went outside to collect glasses and must have seen them.

The Nigeria squad that won the first Fifa Under-16 World championship have been rewarded after a 30-year wait.

New Nigeria president Muhammadu Buhari has made good on a promise to reward the players after the 1985 tournament when he was the military head of state.

Nduka Ugbade, captain of the team who beat West Germany 2-0 in the final in Beijing, told BBC Sport: "I have finally received my money.

"I am extremely delighted that our president has fulfilled his promise."

Buhari had promised the players a house, stock in the central bank and a scholarship and other incentives after their success but soon after he was ousted by another military regime and the country's government never fulfilled his pledges.

Following Buhari's election as president last year he announced in January a 2m naira ($10,000; £7,000) reward for each of the players and 1.5m for the officials.

"He's truly a man of his word and on behalf of myself and the team I say a big 'thank you' to our president," added Ugbade.

Two South African children are suing the church of popular evangelist preacher TB Joshua after the collapse of one of its buildings in Nigeria killed their father in 2014.
Kalambaie wa Kalambaie was one of 116 people, including many South Africans, who died.
In 2015, a coroner in a Lagos court said "the church was culpable because of criminal negligence".
Mr Joshua and his church have consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Mysterious artifact discovered at Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity


A mysterious religious artifact has surfaced during renovations at Bethlehem’s famous Church of the Nativity, officials say.

According to the Times of Israel, the artifact is made of brass, silver, shells and stones. It was covered in plaster and found near a window in the church that reportedly was built by Emperor Constantine and his mother Helena in the fourth century. Although officials confirmed that the artifact has been cleaned up, it is not on display, and there are no images of it as yet.

Pictures of the baby-faced couple from Guangxi province in their wedding outfits went viral on social networks earlier this week.
It prompted surprised comments online and in the mainstream media, not least because the legal marriage age in China is 20 for women and 22 for men.
But the bride, identified by local media as Xiaowu, told local newspaper Nanguo Zaobao that they only held a celebration, and intend to register their marriage once they come of age.

Harper Lee, the reclusive author of To Kill a Mockingbird, has died at the age of 89.
The news was first confirmed by the mayor's office in her hometown of Monroeville, Alabama.
The novelist was born Nelle Harper Lee on 28 April 1926.
In 1960, she published To Kill a Mockingbird, a huge critical and commercial success which won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction. A sequel Go Set a Watchman, was published in 2015.
To Kill a Mockingbird sold more than 40 million copies worldwide.
