A GERMAN historian has claimed that Adolf Hitler did only have one testicle after all.
A song mocking the Nazi leader for having "one ball" has been sung for decades, but now a researcher believes to have found conclusive proof the urban legend is based on fact after unearthing Hitler’s long-lost medical records.
Doctor’s notes, made in 1923 during a prison check-up, say Hitler suffered from “right-side cryptorchidism” – an undescended right testicle.
However Dr Josef Steiner Brin, who examined Hitler, said he was otherwise “healthy and strong”.

The records appeared at auction in 2010 but disappeared after they were seized by the Bavarian government.
Now Professor Peter Fleischmann of Erlangen-Nuremberg University has unearthed the notes and told Germay's Bild newspaper they show one of Hitler's testicles was “probably stunted”.
The notes were made after Hitler was arrested in 1923 and contradict the rumour that Hitler lost one testicle to shrapnel during the Battle of the Somme in World War 1.
They also go against Hitler’s childhood doctor, who had previously claimed that Hitler’s genitals were “completely normal”.
