Former Minister of Education, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, has berated President Muhammadu Buhari, says his government has not done anything to improve the standard of living of the Nigerian masses since he assumed office.
Shekarau stated this while speaking to supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at his residence in Kano State on Wednesday, April 7, after the constitution of a 44-man sub-committee.
He said the All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed Nigerians as its 'Change' mantra is mere words after all.
“It is unfortunate that the APC has failed to address the abject poverty among Nigerians. Those promoting the change mantra have now ended up rewarding electorates with hunger, poverty, illiteracy and embarrassing queues at our filling stations.
“We are still waiting to see when Nigerians will start enjoying the change the APC promised. It is almost a year now after it took over power. The first quarter of the year has already passed without a working budget for our dear nation,” he said.
The ex-governor, who described the APC as a party of political opportunists, however called on Nigerians to give the PDP another chance.
