World's fattest man Andres Moreno, who once weighed 70 stone, dies of a heart attack on Christmas Day

Moreno, 38, died while being taken to a hospital in his native town of Ciudad Obregon on 25 December 2015, according to a post made by his relatives on a Facebook account. Local media reported that Moreno died of a heart attack while being transferred from home to hospital.

THE world's fattest man has died after suffering a heart attack on Christmas morning.

Tragic Andres Moreno, who once weighed a staggering 70 STONE, had recently shed 19 stone to undergo a stomach by-pass in October.

At the start of November footballer Cristiano Ronaldo sent him a signed Real Madrid shirt to inspire him to continue losing weight.
However Andres' weight loss journey was cut short because of the fatal heart attack yesterday morning.
The bed-bound Mexican was in an ambulance on his way to hospital when he died at roughly 8:30am.
Andres was just 38-years-old and news of his death was revealed by relatives on his Facebook page.
He weighed 46.5 stone when he died and was on his way to hospital after he we was found struggling for breath.
His surgery in October was intended to help him slim down to 12 and a half stone, and Andres had spoken of his wish to find a girlfriend and start a family.

He also revealed he hoped to set up an organisation to help other overweight people around the world get back into shape.
Following his surgery Moreno walked for the first time in three years on December 2.
Speaking after the achievement, he said: “My legs were trembling like a new-born foal’s but thankfully I can stand up by myself and walk by myself.”
Moreno, a former police officer, admitted to being dumped by his wife when his weight started ballooning after he turned 20.

He explained: “I realised I was putting on more and more weight and getting bigger but it was like a snowball I couldn’t stop.
“I lost my wife, who I lived with for three years and left me because I was fat.
“Friends and family would visit me, and when they went I was left alone crying and sad because of my situation and begging God to put me back on the right path.
“I hit rock-bottom when I couldn’t get out of bed and go to the toilet or wash myself.”
Specialist Jose Antonio Castaneda said ahead of the October surgery that Andres wouldn't have lasted another five years without it.
The previous record for the world’s fattest man was also held by a Mexican, Manuel Uribe, from Monterrey, who weighed 88 stone.
He died last year aged 48.
Britain’s fattest man, 65-stone Carl Thompson, died in June just a month after pleading for help to try and change his 10,000 calories-a-day diet.
Andres is due to be buried today.
