BOOZED-UP footie legend Paul Gascoigne was rushed to hospital yesterday after collapsing in a pool of blood at a health spa.
The former England hero, 48, was described by guests as “paralytic” when he checked in for a pre-Christmas stay.
He then tried to order more alcohol but was refused before staff found him “slumped over and stinking of booze” in the early hours.
Blood was pouring from a cut to his hand where the sozzled star had fallen on a glass.
Gascoigne was then rushed to hospital at 5am in what was called a “medical emergency”.

One guest said: “I have never seen a human being so utterly obliterated by alcohol.
“It is so sad. He looked like a little old man.”
The star, who has spent years battling alcoholism, arrived by cab at Champneys Forest Mere in Liphook, Hants, at 8pm on Friday. He was due to stay until December 23 and was led to his room by concerned staff.
Gascoigne, who is said to have just left hospital after treatment for a bladder infection, then called room service to order more drink.
Staff refused and sent up some food instead.
Later, a night porter went to check on the former Spurs ace but found him collapsed. Staff then called an ambulance.

One source said: “Christmas is obviously a very difficult time for an alcoholic. When the taxi pulled off, he was in an absolute state. He was visibly drunk, stank of alcohol and looked terrible. He was in a really bad way.
“When staff got him up in his room, he tried to get some drink through room service, but they obviously didn’t send him any.
“Instead they gave him food they thought he could handle — toast, bread and cold meat, proper nursing home food really. Then when they went to check on him later he was shaking and incoherent.”
Gazza is said to have told paramedics he had only just left hospital after a five-day stay for the bladder infection.
The source went on: “I think he must have got out of hospital on Thursday, then started drinking straightaway and arrived at the spa the next day.” A spokeswoman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service said yesterday: “We attended a call at 5am to a medical emergency in Liphook, Hants. A man in his 40s was assessed and taken to hospital.”
Gazza has recently been on a one-man stage tour, where he told audiences he was in good health.
The dad of three has been dogged by alcoholism most of his adult life but was only diagnosed aged 33.
Since his retirement in 2004 he has struggled with mental health problems and brushes with the law.
In October he was given a restraining order and fined for harassing his ex Amanda Thomas and assaulting a photographer.
He has been in and out of hospital and rehab on several occasions, including a sectioning last October.
He was also fined for assaulting a security guard at Stevenage railway station, Herts, in July 2013.
Gascoigne has previously revealed he has been treated for bulimia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder and alcoholism.
