Conman who faked coma for TWO years to dodge court told to sell caravan he bought with scammed cash

Alan Knight pretended to be in a coma for two years while he holidayed in a caravan around Britain with money he stole from his neighbour

COMA conman Alan Knight has been forced to sell the caravan he holidayed around Britain in to pay back the neighbour he swindled out of his life savings.

The notorious con-artist faked a coma for two years to get out of going to court for stealing more than £40,000 from his elderly neighbour.

Knight was jailed for four-and-a-half-years after cops discovered he stole the money to buy a caravan and was journeying around Britain in his new purchase, while he was allegedly supposed to be in a "vegatative state".
Now a court has ordered he must sell the mobile home to pay back his victim, Ivor Richards, who suffers from dementia and now lives in a care home unaware of what has gone on.

The bare-faced liar was caught out after snaps emerged of him and wife Helen at a wedding in Gloucester, in an art gallery in Devon, drinking a pint in a pub and at Legoland Windsor with his kids.
Helen was also jailed for 10 months for perverting the course of justice by helping her husband’s feigned illnesses - exposed when police uncovered CCTV of him on holidays in his caravan and shopping in Tesco with absolutely no disabilities.

A court heard the couple went to “extraordinary lengths” to fool doctors, nurses, their MP and even PM David Cameron that Alan was in a coma after suffering head injuries when hit by his garage door.
Jim Davis, representing the Crown Prosecution Service, said the caravan was Knight’s “only viable asset” and said Knight had now signed a disclaimer allowing it to be sold off.
