Taylor Swift vs Nicki Minaj... and 9 other of 2015's biggest celebrity feuds

CELEBRITIES are known for having two things: big mouths and fragile egos. So it's no great surprise that sometimes they come to blows.

Here are the juciest celeb spats of the year.

Nicki Minaj vs Taylor Swift

When Nicki was overlooked for Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards this year, the singer/rapper was not happy.
Nicki pointed out that despite breaking records, her song Anaconda was overlooked in favour of videos that celebrate “women with very slim bodies”.
Despite not being named as one of the slim-bodied women Taylor Swift jumped into the fray, tweeting Nicki to tell her that she had “done nothing but love & support” her.
A Twitter back-and-forth then ensued with Nicki pointing out that her original tweet had nothing to do with Taylor and everything to do with how society views and portrays women of colour.
The whole world got involved, including Ed Sheeran and Piers Morgan. Eventually, Taylor wrote an open apology to Nicki and the pair kissed and made up.

Nicki Minaj vs Miley Cyrus

Despite Nicki and Taylor burying the hatchet, the Starships singer was not so quick to forgive other stars who jumped on the Swifty bandwagon.
Miley Cyrus called Nicki “pathetic” for her feud with T-Swift, which did not go down well.
When the 33-year-old came onstage to collect her award for Best Hip-Hop Video at the VMAs (which Cyrus was hosting), she referred to Miley as "this b****" and uttered the now immortal throwdown line: “Miley, what’s good?”

Marnie Simpson vs Vicky Pattison

There is no love lost between these two Geordie Shore stars.
Marnie, 23, branded Vicky an “obsessed old bag” back in September when the 28-year-old Queen of the Jungle accused Marnie of using her then-boyfriend Stephen Bear to get papped by the paparazzi.
Vicky then accused Marnie of being a poor excuse for a friend: “Marnie’s a boys’ girl and I’m a girls’ girl. That’s all there is to it!,” she told Star magazine.

Zayn Malik vs The Entire World

In March this year, Zayn became the first member to leave One Direction and the entire world went into a state of mourning*.
In a whirlwind of emotions, tears and tweets, the 22-year-old made quite a few enemies in 2015.
Just a few days after leaving the biggest boyband in the world to become a “normal 22-year-old”, Zayn was spotted in the studio with producer Naughty Boy enraging his former bandmate Louis Tomlinson.
Cue a very public Twitter spat between the two. But the plot thickens! Zayn and Naughty Boy then turned on each other, with Zayn calling the producer a “fat joke”. Ouch.
Oh and then there was Zayn’s beef with media mogul Simon Cowell who called the singer “rude” for his comments about One Direction’s music. Phew!

Liam Payne vs Noel Gallagher

Famously level-headed Oasis star Noel Gallagher didn’t hold back when it came to giving his opinion on One Direction this year.
The 48-year-old let rip on the boyband in an interview with Esquire in November: “Who gives a s*** what f****** One Direction do? C***suckers, all of them in rehab by the time they’re 30.”
Liam Payne responded by calling the singer-songwriter “sad” and “old”. We get the feeling neither of these two are losing too much sleep over their war of words.
Iggy Azalea vs Britney Spears

It all started back in June when 25-year-old Aussie Iggy tweeted a fan and seemed to imply that it was Britney’s fault that their duet Pretty Girls flopped.
Queen of pop Britney, 33, then tweeted: “Can’t wait to get back to Vegas. So thankful I have shows for the rest of the year to look forward to.. #YouWantAPieceOfMe.”
Fans were quick to assume the tweet was a comeback at a seemingly ungrateful Iggy – who had recently cancelled her tour. Yikes.
Cara Delevingne vs Richard Madden

Supermodel turned actress Cara Delevingne hit the headlines this year for a disastrously awkward TV interview she did while on the promo trail for her movie, Paper Towns.
The woman with the most famous eyebrows in the world was branded rude by the hosts of Good Day Sacramento when she responded to their patronising questions with sarcastic replies and death glares.
The two anchors of the show cut the interview short and suggested the star should "take a little nap, maybe get a Red Bull".
Game of Thrones star Richard Madden found himself on the wrong side of the feud when he said the model came off as “ungrateful” for her attitude.
Cara responded by pointing out she had no idea who he was but that “it’s a little desperate for a grown man to be bad mouthing someone they don’t know”.
Madden quickly apologised to the 22-year-old, using the excuse that he was “misquoted”.
Rita Ora vs Roc Nation

X-Factor judge Rita is suing Jay Z’s label Roc Nation – and it’s been revealed that pop rival Rihanna may be the reason.
It was originally said that Rita wants to be released from her contract with the label after they allegedly side-lined the star during changes within the company.
However it now seems that the real reason may be Rihanna – who is said to have been given preferential treatment by the label, including an alleged first choice of songs over Rita.
On the day it was announced the Body On Me singer planned to sue Roc Nation, the hashtag #FreeRitaOra trended on Twitter. Which team are you on?
Danny Dyer vs Jeremy Kyle

Now this is a dispute we’d like brought to Jezza’s couch.
Apparently Danny Dyer isn’t a fan of daytime TV star Jeremy, saying in an interview with the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show that: “I'd choke him [Jeremy]” if they ever happened to cross paths.
However Jeremy might not want to take it too personally as he went on to say: "It's not necessarily him as a man because I don't know him, it's just his show.
"I just can't stand the geezer which is probably a bit strong considering I've never met him.” So the EastEnders star probably won’t be acting upon his words...
*No, not really but some people were really, really sad.
