A 15-YEAR-old girl stood at a rally in Pennsylvania and asked Hillary Clinton about body image, wondering what she would do as the first female president to “help girls understand that they are so much more than what they look like”.
The teenager, Brennan Leach, leaned into the microphone in front of a packed crowd at a Haverford community centre gymnasium on Tuesday and explained to the Democratic nominee that Donald Trump’s view on women was having an increasing impact on body shaming at her high school.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says President Muhammadu Buhari may not do well in economy and foreign affairs, except in military matters.

Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose on Tuesday said his criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari was not borne out of hatred for him but out of his conviction that at 73, Buhari was not strong enough to lead a complex country like Nigeria.

The governor, who spoke at the an event organised by the Oyo State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists to celebrate the World Press Freedom Day in Ibadan, said those who voted for Buhari in the last presidential election did not know who he was. He stressed that in the last one year, Nigeria had never had it so bad, noting that the fuel crisis, exchange rate of dollar to naira, killings by Fulani herdsmen and power situation were indices showing that Buhari’s government lacked the idea of how to rule Nigeria.

FG, Ezekwesili differ on Buhari’s economic policy

A former Minister of Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s economic policy is worsening the rate of poverty in the country.

She has also described Buhari’s economic policy as outdated and irrelevant in a 21st century democracy.

The former minister said this on Saturday at the 12th edition of The Platform, organised by Covenant Christian Centre in Abuja.
