ROMAN ABRAMOVICH is taking revenge on Jose Mourinho by refusing to reach a financial settlement with former Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro.

Abramovich is fighting Carneiro’s claim for constructive dismissal and has made it clear to Chelsea’s legal team that he is happy for the club to go through with the tribunal in June.

The billionaire believes Chelsea’s reputation remains intact over the affair because Mourinho instigated Carneiro’s removal from her touchline duties.
The former Chelsea manager, who faces a separate claim from Carneiro for victimisation and discrimination, will be severely embarrassed by details of their professional relationship being made public.

Abramovich is prepared to go all the way in the dispute because he believes Carneiro would still be in her job under any other circumstances.

Mourinho lost it with her when the doctor rushed in to the pitch to treat Eden Hazard during the champions’ draw with Swansea on the opening day of the Premier League season.
Chelsea fired Mourinho in December after their were beaten by Leicester City at the King Power Stadium and have only recently come to an agreement over his severance package.

Relations between Abramovich and Mourinho remain distant after the club’s benefactor was forced to fire him for a second time.

However, Mourinho has said he will definitely return to management in July - but not where.

That admission came as SunSport revealed departing Italy boss Antonio Conte will take over from Guus Hiddink as Chelsea manager before Euro 2016.
