Couple arrested for having sex on Las Vegas Ferris wheel
A COUPLE faces felony charges after allegedly being recorded having sex on a Las Vegas Ferris wheel.
Police said Phillip Frank Panzica III, 27, and Chloe Scordianos, 21, got busy during a 30-minute ride in a glass-enclosed cabin 168m above the Vegas Strip.
The two were arrested on February 5 after riding alone together on the High Roller, which is billed as “The Happiest Half Hour in Vegas.”
Police said the duo were smoking cigarettes about 3pm when they refused two intercom requests to put their clothes on, and instead continued to have sex.
Riders in a nearby glass pod took video of the encounter, according to court documents.
The couple’s high jinks were also captured by surveillance cameras. The images haven’t been made public.
A Las Vegas judge on Tuesday set a March 9 date to see if the charges against can be resolved without trial.
Panzica’s lawyer, Bennair Bateman, declined to comment.
Scordianos’ lawyer, Chris Rasmussen, says his client believed the couple had an expectation of privacy.
