Mother of three stabbed 51 times by outraged husband

AN IT consultant is facing a murder sentence after stabbing his wife 51 times with a bread knife when he discovered she was having an affair.
Andrew Munro, who refers to himself as the ‘David Beckham of IT’ according to theLiverpool Echo, used surveillance and tracking devices to spy on his wife of 18 years, before snapping and killing her in their Cheshire, England home in November last year.
Munro, who admitted to the murder in June — just days before the trial was originally scheduled to begin, sacked his legal team and attempted to change his plea. The application was rejected.
The incident took place on Sunday, November 2, 2014, about 2.15pm. Munro was in the kitchen cutting bread, having just asked his wife to talk about their marriage. Suddenly, he flew into a rage, picked up one of the knives and began stabbing his wife with “great force”.

An emergency call that made at the time of the attack was played for the court during the trial on Wednesday, reports the Liverpool Echo.
In the recording, Mrs Munro, 47, can be heard begging for her life, saying, “Andy, please don’t kill me. I need to phone 999 and get help. Please let me do this.”
Munro, 51, allowed her to make the call before coming back and continuing his attack. The mother of three yelled “I’m dying, I’m dying”. High-pitched screams can then be heard on the tape, and Munro calmly says, “I’m really sorry, Clare, but you know what you’ve done to me”.
During the attack, Munro used such force that the knife passed straight through his victim’s body. Mrs Munro suffered 51 knife wounds to her heart, lungs, stomach, liver and spine, reports the Liverpool Echo. By the time the paramedics arrived, there was nothing that could be done to save her.
A witness to the attack also had their finger severed by Munro. The court heard that Mrs Munro helped to protect the witnesses before succumbing to her own injuries.
Judge Justice Mark Turner said that Munro, who has Asperger’s, had no symptoms of a psychotic disorder. He then sentenced Munro to 12 years in prison for Grievous Bodily Harm with intent against the witness, and a minimum 26 years in prison for the murder of his wife.
