Read Mathew 6: 9-13

Do you like to talk with your closest friend? Of course you will also like to talk with your Lord. You don’t need o say words like thee and thou dost God knows the words you normally use. He wants you to speak to him as a child would speak to a father. Share with him your attitudes, your fears, your desires and your frustrations. He will understand. He will respond to your prayers.

Jesus, first followers asked him to teach them to pray. In response he gave them a model prayer, which is often called the Lord’s Prayer you can find this model prayer in Mathew 6:9-13 look up Mathew in the index to your bible or try opening your bible one fourth of the way from the back Either way You will find Mathew at the beginning of the new testament, the second big section of your bible

Read carefully Mathew 6:9-13. Note the things Jesus included in his model prayer. Memorized the model prayer begin with Our Father and

 1. ADDRESSING GOD PROPERLY

 2. SHOWING RESPECT FOR GOD NAME

 3. COMMITTING OURSELVES AND ALL ON EARTH TO GOD PLAN

4. ASKING GOD TO PROVDE FOR OUR NEEDS AND NOT OUR WANTS

5. ASKING GOD FOR FORGIVENESS

6. ASKINGGOD FOR PROTECTION

7. DECLARING GOD RULE OVER TO BE OUR GREATEST WISH.

8. ENDING OUR PRAYER PROPERLY
